Amanda has designed the interior and layout of the contemporary Big Blue Hotel, which is great for families and short business stays. Relax in comfort and style at the Big Blue Hotel.
Amanda led the full creative and project design of the Boulevard Hotel, which opened in August 2019. The Boulevard Hotel is a luxurious secret escape on the magical coastline of Blackpool. Its stunning views from the ocean-front rooms are a perfect alternative to the magical views of Pleasure Beach. The Boulevard was designed as a relaxing sanctuary in the busy resort of Blackpool. It has beautifully designed rooms, the most comfortable beds and contemporary bathrooms, and its suites are the perfect viewing platform for magical sunrises and sunsets.
Amanda’s most recent project is Aviktas, Pleasure Beach Resort’s £8.72 million gyro swing, which opened in 2026 during the park’s 130th season. Standing 138 feet tall and swinging riders through a 120-degree arc above the Blackpool coastline, Aviktas is the tallest ride of its kind in the UK. Amanda guided its creative vision, from its mysterious name and storyline to its theming, colours and design. The result is a ride that has transformed the Blackpool skyline and gives guests an experience unlike anything else in the country.
Amanda’s philosophy is simple: to achieve perfection in function, form and delivery for her clients through a unique and truly bespoke service.
She provides inspiration, consummate expertise and an unsurpassed design service. She works closely with every stage of the design process, from construction to fit-out, so that each part of the project runs like clockwork.
Many areas of Blackpool Pleasure Beach have been shaped by her creative skills. She has designed restaurants such as Coasters, Big Pizza Kitchen and Blues Bar & Brasserie, and retail stores including the Wallace & Gromit store, ICON and the Pleasure Beach Store. The Pleasure Beach Store is the home of the resort’s own merchandise, and it brings the character and heritage of the park into a welcoming retail space where guests can take a piece of Pleasure Beach home with them.
